Slightly to the south of  Uzès, a winding country road takes you through the vineyards and the typical countryside of Provence to a sand-coloured house perched on top of an escarpment. This is the Mas de Ra. "Mas" is the local name for a Provençal farm, while Ra is the Egyptian sun god. 

In the Mas lives the Dutch owner. The Mas has also two beautiful, full furnished apartments, each with its own large terrace facing south.

The large garden is partly shaded by evergreen holm oaks, but the lawn and the playing fields for badminton, table tennis or jeu de boules are always flooded with sunshine.

For reasons of privacy and protection, the swimming pool and the garden itself are surrounded by a low wall. The swimming pool comprises a tiled sun terrace, a pool house and shower. A delightful place to relax on comfortable sun-loungers.

Mas de Ra lies in more than 3 hectares of its own grounds, which are both open and wooded. It's a veritable paradise for plants, butterflies and birds, but is also the domain of the cicadas that have become a symbol of the Mediterranean coast of France. The names of the two 'gîte de charme' are 'Abricot' and 'Lavande'.

Within an hour drive or less, you can be able to visit the Mediterranean Sea, the Cevennes, the Camargue, Pont du Gard and also the beautiful towns Uzès, Avignon, Nîmes, Montpellier and Arles.
